Emille Thompson, 30, is pictured on March 7, 2019. She is a
Sales Associate at the Union Book Store located at Adele H. Stamp Union.
This is Thompson’s second stint at the store, having
previously held a job there five years ago. She had left to take care of her
newborn baby, but now she is back to work. This time, she plans to stay on for as long as
she can.
When asked what has changed in the store from five years
ago, Thompson said there is a wider range of apparel designs today.

He is part of the recruiting team for the United States Air Force Reserve
Training Corps, a military unit that commissions officers in the United States
Air Force. He studies part-time at the University of Maryland.
Sales Assistant Linda Labady, 43, is pictured at her
workplace, The Food Shop on March 11, 2019. It is located at Edward St. John
Learning and Teaching Center, University of Maryland.
The Food Shop is known among students for selling quick
bites, Labady said. She has been working there since the store opened in 2017.
